The Las Vegas Raiders' offensive line lost its best player earlier this season when left tackle Kolton Miller sustained a significant ankle injury.
Miller suffered a sprain and a hairline fracture in his ankle in the Week 4 loss to the Chicago Bears and is expected to be out several weeks as a result.
The Raiders' offensive line was already in rough shape, so not having Miller, who was inked to a three-year, $66 million contract extension in July, only makes Las Vegas' group upfront worse.
Here's what we know about Miller's chances of returning in 2025.
Will Kolton Miller play again in 2025?
No clear timeline has been given by the team, and there haven't been any reports about when Miller might be back.
According to EmergeOrtho, a hairline fracture in the ankle can take around six to eight weeks to heal.
Assuming that is the timeline Miller is working with, there stands a chance that Miller could be back anywhere between Week 11 and 13. But, again, we don't have details on Miller's actual timeline, so that is just an educated guess.
While Miller has been sidelined with his injury, veteran Stone Forsythe has filled in at left tackle. Unfortunately for the Raiders, the drop-off from Miller to Forsythe has been as significant as expected.
Forsythe has given up three sacks and 10 pressures over four starts in place of Miller and he sports Pro Football Focus grades of 59.4 in pass-blocking and 52.4 in run-blocking in that span.
