Two Raiders draft picks draw glowing reviews following Las Vegas' rookie minicamp image

The Las Vegas Raiders held their 2025 rookie minicamp last weekend and two of the team's draft picks drew glowing reviews for their performances.

Those two draft picks were first-round selection and running back, Ashton Jeanty, and second-round pick and wide receiver, Jack Bech.

The glowing reviews come from Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, who noted that Jeanty looked as advertised.

"Jeanty, who the team selected sixth overall, displayed outstanding balance, vision and footwork," Bonsignore wrote. "He kept finding the right hole during team and individual drills, something Raiders running backs didn’t do enough of last season."

When it comes to Bech, Bonsignore was impressed with his size and athleticism, and he noted that the TCU product got looks all over the formation, although it remains unclear how he will be deployed primarily.

"Bech, the team’s second-round pick, is listed at 6-foot-1, 214 pounds and looks even bigger in person," he explained. "He’s built similar to Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp. Bech’s athleticism also stood out during drills, as he jumped into the air to make a couple of impressive catches.

"It’s unclear where the former TCU standout will primarily line up," Bonsignore added. "The Raiders deployed him all over the line of scrimmage and he looked comfortable handling various assignments."

Bech's versatility will be huge for the Raiders.

As things stand now, they don't have a sure slot receiver, nor do they have a locked-in starter on the outside opposite Jakobi Meyers. Tight end Brock Bowers and wide receiver Tre Tucker should both see time in the slot, also.

Meanwhile, there is no question about how Jeanty will fit in. He's the undisputed No. 1 running back and should have a workhorse role in his first season.
