The Seattle Seahawks managed to crush the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional-round game on Saturday night and that's bad news for teams interested in Seattle's offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.

Kubiak has drawn a ton of interest for head-coaching vacancies in this cycle, which is no surprise after he oversaw one of the league's elite offenses in 2025.

However, for those teams seriously considering Kubiak for their head-coach job and want to bring him in for a second interview, they're going to have to wait.

That's because, starting Monday, Kubiak cannot do an in-person interview with any team because he's still in the playoffs.

That means that any team looking to bring him in for a second interview, which is typically the final step before a coach gets hired, will have to wait it out.

The risk there is that waiting on Kubiak could lead to teams missing out on other candidates they would otherwise hire for a coach who may not take the job.

If the Seahawks are eliminated in the NFC Championship Game, Kubiak will be free to resume interviews. Also, the Seahawks play-caller can conduct interviews during the Super Bowl bye week if Seattle advances.

Kubiak has conducted interviews with six teams, including the Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons.

Of course, New York and Atlanta have hired John Harbaugh and Kevin Stefanski, respectively, so they're not in the mix anymore.

For those aforementioned teams, they must be at least fairly confident they will hire Kubiak if they're going to wait.
