The Las Vegas Raiders just need to lose in Week 18 to have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

And that would allow them free reign to select whichever quarterback they believe is the future face of their franchise, either Indiana's Fernando Mendoza or Oregon's Dante Moore.

But which one?

Well, Tom Brady may have a say.

Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer was asked about Brady's role in a new mailbag, and Breer believes Brady will certainly be involved.

"I’d say Brady will be involved in decision-making on the quarterback, for sure," Breer writes. "And I think he’d lean toward a quarterback who can win from the pocket. I don’t know quite enough yet to give you the full rundown on Mendoza and Moore, other than they’re both on the radar of teams picking high and with quarterback needs. I’m honestly not sure which of the two will go first. It’s too early for that. I have a ton of calls to make and work to do over the next few months, as usual."

Moore and Mendoza were both playing on Thursday in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals.

Mendoza won the Heisman Trophy in his first season with the Hoosiers after transferring from California. Moore has prototypical QB traits.

Brady will likely be a fan of both. But if it's his call to make for the Raiders, he'll have to eventually lean in one direction.

It'll be a major decision for the future of the franchise.
