The Las Vegas Raiders are not done making moves in what has been a busy offseason for the franchise.

The Raiders proved that on Wednesday, when the team reportedly signed former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Germaine Pratt to a one-year deal.

In addition to that, the Raiders also met with free-agent cornerback Shaquill Griffin, who has a Seattle Seahawks connection to Las Vegas head coach Pete Carroll from their days together there.

The Raiders' search for more cornerback help is understandable.

The room is lacking when it comes to experience, and the team's current option to start in the slot, Darnay Holmes, is anything but a reliable solution.

With the Raiders clearly still exploring their options at cornerback, CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin has predicted the team makea blockbuster trade with the Miami Dolphins for star cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Benjamin believes it'll only cost the Raiders a fifth-round pick to acquire the 3-time All-Pro.

Just one year after landing a $74 million extension from the Miami Dolphins, Ramsey is fully anticipating a breakup as his AFC East squad rebuilds its defense. The seven-time Pro Bowler will likely fetch little more than a mid- to late-round draft pick in a trade given his age (30) and financial demands, but his wealth of both experience and attitude will convince someone to slot him in as a "missing piece" for 2025. A reunion with the Los Angeles Rams makes the most sense from a title-chasing perspective, but if it's compensation that ultimately seals the deal here, a move to Sin City feels right up Ramsey's alley; the Las Vegas Raiders are flush with salary cap space, and coach Pete Carroll is all about physical defense.

There are a few reasons why the seven-time Pro Bowler could be cheap to acquire in terms of draft capital, with one of them being his age. Ramsey will turn 31 in October, so decline is obviously a concern.

The bigger reason is Ramsey's guaranteed money. He inked a three-year, $72.3 million extension with Miami last offseason that doesn't begin until next year.

The contract isn't as bad as it seems, though, as Ramsey has no guaranteed money from 2026 on. However, there is still over $20 million left in guarantees for the final year of his current deal, which will impact the Dolphins' return in a trade.

Las Vegas is sitting pretty with $36.1 million in cap space right now, so the team can easily absorb all of Ramsey's money, which in turn will keep the trade price low.

Upon acquiring Ramsey, the Raiders would have multiple options with the veteran, who can play inside and out.

Granted, Ramsey has played most of his snaps on the boundary over his career, but he has seen significant action in the slot over the last five seasons, with a career-high 325 snaps there in 2021 with the Los Angeles Rams.

The Raiders could deploy Ramsey on the outside if their competition between Eric Stokes, Decamerion Richardson, Jakorian Bennett and rookie Darien Porter does not yield good results.

Or, Las Vegas could put Ramsey in the slot, where he'd be a much better option than Holmes.
