Raiders predicted to hire Kyle Shanahan disciple as next head coach image

The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the three remaining head coach vacancies, as the Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns are the only other teams without head coaches in the final week of January.

Though Las Vegas still doesn't have a coach, there are still a plethora of intriguing options left, including Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.

Kubiak has done a wonderful job with the Seahawks this year, and FanSided's Chris Landers predicts the promising offensive coach will land in Las Vegas as the franchise's head coach.

Here is what Landers had to say about Kubiak and his fit with the Raiders:

"Based on the profile of Las Vegas' interview choices so far, it would seem that they're targeting an offensive coach, which makes sense considering they're about to take QB Fernando Mendoza No. 1 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. Kubiak has done excellent work with Sam Darnold this year after doing the same with Derek Carr last year, and Tom Brady was just very impressed by his up-close look at the Seahawks offense in the NFC title game."

Kubiak seems to be one of the frontrunners for the Raiders' job, though Las Vegas has yet to sit down for a second interview with him.

The Raiders can't even hire Kubiak till after the Super Bowl since the Seahawks will be playing in the big game. However, waiting for Kubiak would be well worth it for Las Vegas.

Kubiak has turned Seattle into a well-oiled machine on offense, as the unit has been nearly unstoppable in the postseason and ranked among the top groups during the regular season.

A disciple of Kyle Shanahan with the San Francisco 49ers, Kubiak doesn't have any head coaching experience. But he has the potential to be an offensive mastermind, and the Raiders can't pass on that at this stage of the coaching cycle.
