We are through two rounds of the 2025 NFL draft and the Las Vegas Raiders have added five players to their roster thus far.
On Day 1, the Raiders took Boise State superstar running back Ashton Jeanty with the No. 6 overall pick in the first round. Then, after a few trades, the Raiders added wide receiver Jack Bech out of TCU in the second round, and cornerback Darien Porter out of Iowa State, guard Caleb Rogers out of Texas Tech, offensive tackle Charles Grant out of Williams & Mary were all drafted in Round 3.
Entering Day 3 of the NFL draft on Saturday, the Raiders will be busy. Las Vegas has a whopping seven picks over the final day of the event, barring trades.
Follow along below for all of the Day 3 picks the Raiders make over the final four rounds. We'll be providing live updates with grades and analysis for each of Las Vegas' selections as they come.
Raiders Day 3 picks and grades
Round 4, Pick 108: WR Dont'e Thornton, Tennessee — The Raiders already added a wide receiver in this draft in Jack Bech, but they still needed more depth, which makes this a good pick. Thornton brings great size (6-foot-5) that makes him an ideal red-zone target, and his elite speed adds a downfield threat for Las Vegas. Thornton could be the complete package at the next level (GRADE: A).
Round 4, Pick 135 (via MIA): DT Tonka Hemingway, South Carolina — The 6-foot-2, 284-pound lineman is undersized and isn't particularly great at rushing the passer or defending the run, but he's capable in both areas and could get better with some development. His length and quickness on the inside is intriguing and he can line up in multiple spots upfront. He's going to be a project, but he'll have time to develop with Christian Wilkins and Adam Butler set to start (GRADE: B-).
Round 6, Pick 180: DT JJ Pegues, Ole Miss - Yet another defensive tackle after the Raiders used their fourth-round pick on the position. Pegues offers versatility and can line up in multiple spots, and he's got some pass-rush ability, also. Still, we would've liked to see the Raiders address a different position (GRADE: C+).
Round 6, Pick 213: QB/WR Tommy Mellott, Montana State - Mellott played quarterback at Montana State but some experts expect him to switch to wide receiver at the next level. The Raiders could also deploy him as a gadget QB. Mellott flashes impressive speed but will need time to learn a new position. (GRADE: C).
Round 6, Pick 215: QB Cam Miller, North Dakota State — Another quarterback? Sure, why not. Miller is a four-year starter with good speed, a quick release and nice touch, although he doesn't offer much in the way of anticipation or velocity. He'll be a project but gives the Raiders another potential future option (GRADE: B+).
Round 7, Pick 222: LB Cody Lindenberg, Minnesota — The Raiders lost a pair of starting linebackers this offseason and needed more depth options. Lindenberg was expected to come off the board earlier this, so he could be great value. Lindenberg could be a plus against the run but isn't the surest tackler (GRADE: C).
