Add another finalist to the list for the Las Vegas Raiders' head-coach vacancy.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Raiders completed a second interview with former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll, which signifies he's a finalist for the team's head-coach vacancy.
"Raiders now have completed a second interview with former Giants HC Brian Daboll for their head coach opening," Schefter reported.
Daboll is the fourth coach Las Vegas has brought in for a second interview.
Along with Daboll, the Raiders have met twice with Denver Broncos passing-game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Davis Webb, Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero and Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady.
But Brady is now off the board after the Bills decided to promote him to head coach to replace Sean McDermott.
One name missing from that list of second interviews is a popular one with Raiders fans: Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
The Raiders have interviewed him once and could hold a second interview with Kubiak this week, but that has yet to happen. If the Raiders do want to hire the Seahawks play-caller, they will have to wait until after the Super Bowl.
Daboll was most recently the head coach of the Giants, where he posted a 9-7-1 record in his first season and won a playoff game and Coach of the Year.
However, things collapsed spectacularly for Daboll after that. On top of a lot of losing, the Giants experienced major dysfunction before he was canned in 2025.
Daboll remains a respected play-caller from his days with the Buffalo Bills, where he helped develop Josh Allen into an elite quarterback.
While Daboll's ugly stint in New York should make him radioactive for head-coach jobs, he is an attractive candidate for offensive coordinator, especially for a team like the Raiders that is likely to have a young quarterback under center in 2026.
We wouldn't mind seeing Daboll calling plays in Las Vegas as the offensive coordinator, but the Raiders should not hire him as head coach.
