ESPN NFL expert Adam Schefter made his usual Monday appearance on the 'Pat McAfee Show' to discuss the happenings of NFL Week 12. As the conversation moved to the Las Vegas Raiders, the analyst had very little to say about the situation out in the desert, after the team suffered another loss on Sunday, 24-10, to the lowly Cleveland Browns (now 3-8).

The Raiders abruptly fired offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, and that's left many in Raider Nation wondering if Pete Carroll will return with the franchise for 2026. As Schefter spoke, he stated to the show's panel that no one in the building is has a lot of job security in Sin City right now.

"Pete Carroll's never fired an assistant coach, in-season, in his entire time in Seattle," Schefter said. "And now, he's fired two different coordinators there in about two-plus weeks. They fired their special teams coach, and now they fired Chip Kelly last night. Look, I think it's clear; nobody seems to be safe right now."

"I think everything is up in the air. I think the season has not gone the way a lot of people would have hoped. It's been disappointing in a lot of different. You lose to the Browns at home like that, giving up ten sacks? Everything is going to be called into question."

Could Raiders really Carroll after just one year?

The Raiders are now2-9 and in last place in the AFC West. The franchise hasn't won a playoff game since January 2003, when they defeated the Tennessee Titans to advance to the Super Bowl. A change of cities hasn't helped, and neither has the offseason hiring of Carroll, who looks lost after having such much success in Seattle.

Carroll went 137-89-1 with the Seahawks, winning Super Bowl XLVII over Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. But his coaching magic has seemingly disappeared in the desert, and every loss will lead to more speculation regarding his immediate future.
