The Las Vegas Raiders have finally addressed their need at the wide receiver position, with the team selecting TCU wideout Jack Bech with the No. 58 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
The Raiders traded back twice before making their second-round pick on Friday evening. First, they moved back from No. 37 overall in a trade with the Miami Dolphins, and then moved back again to No. 58 in a deal with the Houston Texans.
After trading away Davante Adams last year, the Raiders were lacking a true No. 1 wide receiver, and they entered the offseason in need of depth, also.
While it remains to be seen if Bech will become a No. 1 wide receiver, he'll at least offer some depth behind top targets Jakobi Meyers and Brock Bowers.
Bech saved his best college season for last, with the TCU product finishing with 62 catches for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns in 2024. Now, here's a look at how experts graded the Bech pick.
Jack Bech NFL draft grades
Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: A+
Iyer: "The Raiders, after getting Jeanty for the backfield, also invest in an extra tough offensive playmaker for Geno Smith to help replace Davante Adams. Bech is the ideal outside fit to complement Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers."
Chris Trapasso, CBS Sports: A+
Trapasso: "Raiders get one of the most complete WRs in the class in Bech. Full arsenal you want out of a receiver today, even if he's not an electric separator. Catches everything. Rocks after the catch. Route-running subtlety is veteran-like. Las Vegas needed to give Geno Smith more weaponry, and they get a sizable and polished receiver who can align anywhere and make plays at all three levels."
Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz, USA TODAY: B
Middlehurst-Schwartz: "More skill-position talent is headed to Sin City to invigorate the Silver and Black's attack. Geno Smith likely will need to trust Bech in jump-ball scenarios to truly take advantage of what he offers, but the 6-1, 214-pounder's track record suggests he'll continue to deliver in tight quarters."
