The Philadelphia Eagles and Las Vegas Raiders agreed to a player-for-player swap on Monday.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Raiders traded cornerback Jakorian Bennett to the Eagles for defensive tackle Thomas Booker IV.

For Philadelphia, Bennett could be a potential starter in the secondary with Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, who mainly handles slot duties. Kelee Ringo is currently slated to be one of the team's starting boundary corners, so Bennett could easily take his spot.

The Raiders' decision to trade Bennett is a bit shocking. The Maryland product showed a ton of promise in 2024 and seemed like a future building block on Patrick Graham's defense.

However, Bennett wasn't a great fit in Pete Carroll's system, and the team decided to move on ahead of the preseason. In return, Las Vegas lands Booker, who will greatly help their interior defensive line depth.

The trade between the Raiders and Eagles addressed major needs for both squads, but who was the winner of the deal? Let's take a look at trade grades from NFL analysts.

Eagles-Raiders trade grades

CBS Sports' Jeff Kerr

Eagles grade: B | Raiders grade: B-

Kerr on Eagles: "The player-for-player swap made sense for the Eagles, as they add more depth at a position that could have used a reliable cornerback -- whether Bennett starts or not. Best-case scenario for Bennett is to win the job and start Week 1 at outside cornerback."

Kerr on Raiders: "Parting ways with a proven commodity like Bennett doesn't make sense, but a new coaching staff and new system means other players get better opportunities. If Bennett was cut, he would have been claimed -- so the Eagles parted ways with a player at a position with depth. A good pass rusher when given the opportunity, Booker has a chance to push for significant snaps with the Raiders, who have Adam Butler, Jonah Laulu, Leki Fotu and rookie Tonka Hemingway at defensive tackle. The Raiders released Christian Wilkins last month and needed to fill the void with more depth at the position. "

For The Win's Cory Woodroof

Eagles grade: A | Raiders grade: C+

Woodroof on Eagles: "Yes, the Eagles won this. Of course they did. We're not sure how the Eagles got Bennett, an ascending talent who flashed real potential with the Raiders, without having to give up any draft capital. Durability has been a bit of a concern for the third-year cornerback, but he could thrive in a rotational role and could even push to start at the second outside corner spot opposite Quinyon Mitchell. It's a little trite at this point to pull out the "How did Howie Roseman get away with this?!" Sign, but this is a sweet deal for a young player pressing for a higher ceiling. Giving up only Booker, squarely a role player for the Eagles, is a steal for a player who could push for a starting job."

Woodroof on Raiders: "The player isn't the problem. After the team's surprise release of defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, the Raiders needed more depth in the trenches. Booker earned snaps with the Eagles last year in their stacked defensive tackle room. That alone gives him a pretty good inside track to making the Las Vegas roster and earning playing time with his new team. He may well be a nice add for first-year general manager John Spytek. However, the fact that he didn't even get a low-round draft pick to go along with Booker for Bennett, the superior player who could push to start at cornerback for Philadelphia... Rookie mistake. The Raiders will probably regret this deal... Not for adding Booker, but for only getting a single player out of trading away a rising player on a rookie deal like Bennett."

Fansided's Quinn Everts

Eagles grade: B+ | Raiders grade: B

Everts on Eagles: "I  think the Eagles make it out a little better here just because Bennett has already established himself as a playable piece in the secondary. But a mostly fair deal all around. A random one, but a solid one."

Everts on Raiders: "The Raiders add Booker who fell victim to being buried behind an elite defensive line in Philadelphia. He has a legion of truthers in the Eagles fanbase and should get a chance to prove them right in Las Vegas.
