The Kansas City Chiefs enter Week 12 with a question mark at the running back position.
That question mark comes in the form of injured running back Isiah Pacheco, who has missed the last two games with an MCL sprain in his knee that reportedly has him considered week-to-week.
With that label, there is certainly a chance Pacheco misses another game, but it's too early to give up on him yet. Here's what we know about Pacheco's Week 12 status.
Will Isiah Pacheco return in Week 12?
We still don't have an answer to this question yet.
We will have a better idea of where Pacheco stands when the Chiefs drop their first injury report of the week on Wednesday afternoon.
Pacheco has now been injured for three weeks when you include the team's bye, so it's very possible he returns in Week 12.
However, considering the fact that Pacheco didn't practice at all last week coming out of the bye, nothing is a given.
We would put Pacheco's chances of returning on Sunday at 50/50, at best.
Who is Isiah Pacheco's handcuff?
That would be Kareem Hunt, who has been splitting work with Pacheco all season long. That said, Hunt hasn't been that productive in 2025, which makes him a touchdown-dependent flex option.
We thought we'd see more out of rookie Brashard Smith with Pacheco sidelined, but that has not been the case. The rookie has only seen three caries and three targets in Pacheco's absence.
Hunt is the only fantasy-relevant running back in Kansas City's backfield.
