Here's what you need to know about Smith:

Who is Brashard Smith?

The SMU running back Smith went to the Kansas City Chiefs in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft in April.

Warren Sharp shared these stats after Smith was drafted:

  • No. 1 in draft class with 25% target rate on his routes
  • No. 2 in draft class with 1.68 yards per route run
  • No. 1 in draft class with 1,317 return yards

In summary, Smith can really catch the football, and he's a great returner.

The Chiefs clearly know that as they've used him in both those ways already.
