The Kansas City Chiefs played a must-win game versus the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football in Week 14, and Andy Reid's squad just couldn't get the job done.

Houston defeated Kansas City by a score of 20-10 at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs have now lost four of their last five games and are severely behind in the AFC West and playoff picture.

AFC West standings

1. Denver Broncos (11-2)

2. Los Angeles Chargers (8-4)

3. Kansas City Chiefs (6-7)

4. Las Vegas Raiders (2-11)

Kansas City's streak of winning nine straight AFC West titles is officially over. With their loss versus the Texans, the Chiefs are a full five games behind the Denver Broncos, and with just four games left in the campaign, there's no chance the team can get back into the division title race.

The last time Kansas City didn't win the AFC West came in 2015, when the Broncos took home the crown and went on to secure the Super Bowl 50 title.

AFC playoff picture

The Chiefs are in grave danger of missing the playoffs. Kansas City's playoff chances have plummeted to 15% after the Week 14 defeat, and are ninth in the AFC, meaning they aren't even the first team out of the playoffs in the conference.

Kansas City will host the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15, and a loss would likely signify the end of the road for Reid's struggling group.
