Most of the time, players try to keep their plans close to their chest, but sometimes things slip out, and for Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, that might have just happened.

With the Chiefs on the lookout for a new offensive coordinator with Matt Nagy not returning, Kansas City has zeroed in on former OC Eric Bieniemy to come back and be Andy Reid's right-hand man.

It makes sense given how successful the Chiefs' offenses were under Bieniemy's guidance.

And the news might have also tilted Kelce's decision for next season.

Speaking on the New Heights podcast, Travis revealed his thoughts on Eric returning, and in the process, might have just told us what his plans for 2026 are.

"I can't wait to see [Bieniemy] back in the building, man," Kelce said. "He's one of my favorite coaches of all time. One of my favorite people of all time. I've had so many unbelievable growing moments under him as a player, as a person. I just love the guy and it's going to be awesome to see him back in the building and see him back wearing the Chiefs logo, baby."

Is Kelce returning in 2026?

Well, if we read between the lines, Kelce saying "I can't wait to see Bieniemy back in the building" suggests that the only way that happens is if Travis is a player, right?

Which then means he isn't retiring and is coming back for a 14th season.

Many of Chiefs Kingdom are waiting for the tight end's decision on his playing future, and perhaps inadvertently, he might have just revealed it.

Either that, or Bieniemy's return has him so fired up about it that Kelce just had a slip of the tongue.

Still, it now feels like a good chance that No. 87 returns in 2026.
