Travis Kelce reveals 1 huge emotion over failed Chiefs season image

The Kansas City Chiefs' 2025 season is one the franchise will want to forget in a heartbeat.

A 6-11 season, injuries to key players, most notably Patrick Mahomes, and missing out on the playoffs for the first time in the Mahomes era, it wasn't what we were expecting.

Such was the predicament Kansas City put itself in; it was eliminated from playoff contention after Week 15, leaving three games left with nothing to play for.

For tight end Travis Kelce, speaking on the New Height podcast, he didn't like it one bit.

"It's kind of an embarrassing feeling," Kelce said. "But you keep it moving, man, you keep it moving. And I'm still a fan of the game, and I still love the game, so I'll be tuned in throughout the playoffs, seeing how this thing shakes out over the next couple of weeks.

"I'll get to be around some friends and family in January instead of trying to figure out how to win some playoff games."

Will Kelce retire?

That is the biggest question that fans are asking themselves as we turn to the offseason.

At 36 years old, Kelce is coming to the end of his illustrious career, which spans 13 years, and some thought last offseason he would ride off into the sunset.

He didn't and came back to produce another good season, surpassing 800 receiving yards.

But Father Time is undefeated, and whether Travis wants to go through another grueling offseason and then a 17-game regular season, plus potential playoff games, is something he has to figure out.

We wait with anticipation.
