Patrick Mahomes' injury has NFL fans wondering when Tom Brady tore his ACL image

Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes have a lot of career overlap.

Apparently, they even match when it comes to tearing their ACL.

The Kansas City Chiefs' legendary QB sustained that injury on Sunday in the same game that eliminated K.C. From playoff contention.

Brady had done that to his knee back when he played for the New England Patriots.

On social media on Sunday evening, fans realized just how alike those injuries were.

When did Tom Brady tear his ACL?

Brady tore his ACL in the first game of the 2008 season.

That's about the only thing that makes it different than the Mahomes injury, which came in Week 15.

When Brady had his season-ending injury, it was his ninth NFL season and he had three Super Bowl rings.

Mahomes is in his ninth NFL season and has three Super Bowl rings.

Brady, because the injury was right off the bat, missed the rest of the season but then was good for the following year.

Mahomes' Week 1 status will be less certain.

Brady obviously did well for himself after the injury, winning four more rings. Mahomes would love to do the same.
