Chiefs' potential OC hire should scare the rest of the NFL image

The Kansas City Chiefs are planning on bringing back Eric Bienemy to be their offensive coordinator, and it is a move that should thrill Chiefs fans.

And give the rest of the NFL headaches.

With Matt Nagy looking for a head coaching opportunity, the Chiefs need to find his replacement.

And what better person than the one who has gotten the most out of Patrick Mahomes?

The connection between Eric and Patrick is clear, not to mention Travis Kelce, as this potential hire could mean the tight end returns for a 14th NFL season.

Mahomes played his best football under Bienemy, winning MVPs and Super Bowls, and after a few down seasons play-wise, Patrick might be getting Eric back in his ear.

And that could mean a quick turnaround for the Chiefs in 2026.

Ultimate nightmare fuel for the rest of the NFL.

With Bienemy potentially back in KC, the Chiefs now have one of the masterminds of their dynasty success back in the building.

There's no denying that, even with head coach Andy Reid calling the plays, Bienemy played a huge role in the offense's success. The Chiefs were high-octane and high-scoring, something you can't say about the offense these past couple of seasons.

Now, though, the Chiefs, after a down 2025, could be set to come roaring back.

The NFL might have had just one season of rest from the Chiefs, because with this Bienemy hire, they could be ready to go back to their rightful spot, atop the NFL mountain.
