The Kansas City Chiefs are entering the 2025 NFL season hungry for a Super Bowl after a deflating loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super LIX.
The good news is that tight end Travis Kelce is back for at least one more year, and, of course, Patrick Mahomes is still under center.
Mahomes' NFL resume is already impressive as he has six Pro Bowl trips, two All-Pro nominations and three Super Bowl titles in his career.
On Sunday, Mahomes revealed that is now in the Hall of Fame: The Texas High School Football Hall of Fame. The announcement came from Mahomes with a post on Instagram.
"Whitehouse, Texas is where it all began. It’s an honor to be inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame. As a part of this recognition, I’m proud to announce that @adidasfballus and I are signing 15 high schools to Team Mahomes that will represent my Gladiator logo on uniform, starting with Whitehouse High School. This is just the beginning."
Mahomes' final two seasons at Whitehouse High School included 8,000 yards and over 90 touchdowns, so he is definitely worthy of the induction.
Moreover, he added that his Gladiator logo will be featured on 15 different high school programs in a partnership with Adidas.
And, Mahomes wasn't the only familiar name to be inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame. Robert Griffin III, who played at Copperas Cove High School, also was part of the class.
Hats off to Mahomes and his family for the special honor.
