The Kansas City Chiefs have had poor luck when it comes to the health of their offensive line. They entered Week 14 with both Jawaan Taylor and Trey Smith out due to respective injuries, which thrust Mike Caliendo and Wanya Morris into the starting lineup. However, on the first play from scrimmage, they lost Morris.
In what looked like a very gruesome injury, Morris injured his leg on the game's first play. He was unable to put any weight on the leg while being helped off the field. With the Chiefs having very little room for error for the remainder of the season, getting thinner up front is the last thing their offense can afford.
Luckily for the Chiefs, the Baltimore Ravens lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, putting them at seven losses on the season. In addition to that, the Indianapolis Colts continue to freefall, and unfortunately lost quarterback Daniel Jones for the season. And while no one is celebrating any injuries, the more Indianapolis loses, the better it is for the Chiefs. A win would get Kansas City within one game of the final wild card spot in the AFC.
