You know things are bad in Kansas City when the fans are booing quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the team's offense.
That's exactly what's happening in the first quarter of the Week 14 game against the Houston Texans, as the Chiefs' offense has gotten off to a lackluster start.
Through three drives, the Chiefs have just three first downs and 40 total yards of offense, including just three passing yards.
That has brought out the boo birds early.

We haven’t heard these in a long time, all that winning. 0-3 to end the first quarter 👀 pic.twitter.com/PJ9Obtkn0R
It has been a frustrating season for the Chiefs and their fans, as Kansas City has not lived up to the hype and is in danger of missing out on the playoffs.
The Chiefs entered Week 14 in third place in the AFC West and in the No. 10 spot in the conference. Of course, that means the Chiefs are three spots out of the final wild-card spot in the conference.
They can move up to No. 8 if they beat the Texans on Sunday night, but it's not looking good for them through the first quarter.
If the Chiefs lose, they'll stay in the No. 9 spot but their playoff chances will decrease and the hill to make the postseason will only get steeper.
