Chiefs' Andy Reid shares thoughts on Travis Kelce's potential last game at Arrowhead before retirement image

The Kansas City Chiefs' last home game of the season is Thursday night, a Christmas primetime matchup with the Denver Broncos.

With the Chiefs already eliminated from the playoffs, they know there won't be more. And that means it could be the last home game ever for Travis Kelce, if he chooses to retire.

Of course, there hasn't been clarity on that yet. Everyone has an opinion or a rumor or a reason or some speculation.

It's very possible the 36-year old Kelce hasn't even decided yet what he's doing.

But we know he'll play Thursday night at home, and the fans will likely show him a lot of love.

Leading into the game, Chiefs coach Andy Reid was asked about Kelce's impact in Kansas City, and he gave some sincere thoughts.

“He’s everything you want from a player representing an organization," Reid told reporters on Tuesday. "A phenomenal person, great for the community.”

Kelce took a year or so to get his feet on the ground in the NFL, but once he got going, he hardly stopped.

He's been one of the faces of the Chiefs' dynasty, along with Reid and Patrick Mahomes.

If this is really it, it's a bummer of a way to go out, missing the playoffs for the first time in a decade.

But Kelce gave everything he had to this franchise, and whenever he decides to call it quits, he'll have left an incredible lasting legacy.
