Chiefs' 2-time Super Bowl champion posts his goodbye to Kansas City on Instagram image

This sure feels a lot like goodbye.

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Jaylen Watson, who will be one of the top free agent defensive backs available if he hits the open market, took to Instagram on Friday to write a message to Chiefs fans.

And, well, it doesn't seem like something you'd write if you were pretty sure you'd be re-signing with the team you're on.

This is the full message written by Watson on his post:

"Dear CHIEFS KINGDOM, if this is the last ride I truly thank you for all the passion and support you've showed over the past 4 years. The best 4 years of my life. From a 7th round draft pick out of Augusta, Ga I felt welcomed since the first day I walked in the building. Never in a million years I could've imagined being a 2x Sb champ. To playing in arrowhead in front of the best fans in the world. Through the good years and bad you guys were always there 100 degrees or -30. To all my teammates that became brothers thank you for showing us young bulls the way to come in and be a real professional. So many memories will forever be embedded and I will cherish those moments forever thank you CHIEFS KINGDOM."

Watson signed off on the message with a red heart and a yellow heart.

A lanky cornerback who may get more than $15 million per year in free agency, Watson has done amazingly for himself as a former seventh-rounder.

In a perfect world, the Chiefs could bring him back, but cornerback is obviously a sought-after commodity and lots of teams will likely be in on him once free agency begins.

And it sure sounds like Watson thinks he may wind up elsewhere.
