Another week, another absence for Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas.

Thomas sustained an ankle injury in the Week 9 win over the Las Vegas Raiders that has kept him sidelined ever since.

Thomas once again logged only limited practices in the lead up to the Week 12 game before he was ruled out for a third-straight week.

Now that we have an answer for Week 12, we're looking ahead to see when Thomas might return down the road.

Here's what we know.

When is Brian Thomas coming back?

Based on the fact that Thomas wasn't placed on injured reserve, it would appear the Jaguars believe he can make it back after a three-game absence. Week 12 marks the third-consecutive game Thomas will miss.

Another good sign is the fact that Thomas has been able to at least take part in practice over the last two weeks, which shows he isn't far off.

Ultimately, we would say Thomas has a better-than 50/50 shot to suit up in Week 13 against the Tennessee Titans.

With Thomas out in Week 12 and Travis Hunter out for the season due to a knee injury, the Jaguars are going to lean heavily on guys like Jakobi Meyers, Parker Washington and Brenton Strange, who is expected to play on Sunday.

As for Thomas, he has in the midst of a sophomore slump, as he's averaging nearly 25 yards less per game than he did in 2024 and has just one touchdown after totaling 10 last season.

The Jaguars will hope Thomas can finish the stretch run strong to gain some momentum for 2026.
