While the Jacksonville Jaguars have been a surprising 3-1 to start the season, Travis Hunter’s first month has been relatively quiet.
The No. 2 overall pick has just 118 receiving yards on 13 catches while splitting time between offense and defense. Through four games, Hunter has been on the field for 57.82 percent of the offensive snaps and 38.55 percent of the defensive snaps as Jacksonville continues to sort out the best way to use him.
Still, the Jaguars have managed to pick up three wins in that span despite Hunter’s slow start. In their most recent victory over the San Francisco 49ers, he logged 38 snaps on offense and just nine on defense.
Now Jacksonville turns its attention to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night, a matchup that offers the Jaguars a chance to prove themselves as legitimate contenders. For Hunter, it is also a primetime stage to showcase his two-way ability.
