The Travis Hunter experience so far for the Jacksonville Jaguars hasn't been as exciting as was hoped.
Hunter has failed to make much of an impact on either side of the ball despite seeing a lot of playing time.
In part, that's because his role has already shifted.
These stats from ESPN's Mike Clay paint a picture of part of the reason that has happened:

Week 1: 8 offensive targets, played 10% of defensive snaps
Week 2: 6 offensive targets, played 60% of defensive snaps
Week 3: 2 offensive targets, played 69% of defensive snaps

The Jaguars sustained defensive back injuries in Week 2, which made Hunter more of a necessity on the defensive side of the ball.
Hunter's Week 1 usage, where he played a heavy majority of offensive snaps, was the usage that the Jags seemed to hint at for much of the preseason.
But with a need on the other side, Hunter has transitioned more into his cornerback role.

It's not clear if playing more defense has limited Hunter's offensive capabilities. It certainly didn't at Colorado.
The rest of the Jags' offense isn't clicking, either, so this probably isn't just a Hunter thing.
But it certainly bears watching. This seemed like it was a shoo-in to be a successful draft pick, and right now, Hunter still has to find a way to make his mark.
