Not all fantasy football outbursts are created equal.
Week 15 is a big week -- it's either the first week of the playoffs in most leagues, or it's the final week of the regular season as teams jockey for playoff positioning and berths.
No quarterback has ever scored more points in Week 15, this crucial week, than Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence did on Sunday.

He put up 44.3 fantasy points with these stats:
- 20-for-32 passing
- 330 passing yards
- 5 passing TDs
- 5 carries
- 51 rushing yards
- 1 rushing TD
The only game closest to being this legendary came in 2018, when Aaron Rodgers put up 42.9 fantasy points in Week 16, even deeper into the fantasy postseason.
Lawrence's outing, according to StatMuse, is the 13th-best fantasy quarterback performance in NFL history (and that's counting a few games above him that were played in the 1960s, before fantasy football existed).

It's the second-best fantasy QB game ever in December, behind only Josh Allen's 51.9-point performance in Week 14 in 2024.
The irony, of course, is that Lawrence probably wasn't even being started in too many leagues. In 2-QB or superflex formats, Lawrence probably got the nod, but in 1-QB lineups, he likely wouldn't have been viewed that way by many, even against the Jets.
But for those who did start Lawrence, he looks like a superhero.
