The Jacksonville Jaguars made sure everyone had to pay attention to them by defeating the No. 1 seed Denver Broncos 34-20 on the road to get to 11-4 on the season. The win gets Jacksonville one step closer to wrapping up the AFC South, as they are two games ahead of the Houston Texans and 2.5 games ahead of the Indianapolis Colts, who play the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.
You would have been hard-pressed to find any major network discussing the Jaguars on a regular basis, but they will be impossible to ignore now. However, even Broncos head coach Sean Payton seemed to give them a "little brother" type of treatment in the leadup to the game.
“It’s a smaller market but you see a real good team," Payton said, harping on Jacksonville being one of the five smallest markets in the NFL. Coen made sure to keep that in mind and made note of it in his press conference after the Jaguars defeated Denver.
"A small market team like us can come into Mile High and get it done," Coen said via Jordan Schultz.
The Jaguars will finish their season with a pair of AFC South matchups, travelling to Indianapolis in Week 17 to face the Colts and closing out at home against the Tennessee Titans in Week 18.
