Is there a better name in the NFL than Ulysses Bentley IV?
There are cases to be made for Storm Duck and Kool-Aid McKinstry, to be sure.
But if nothing else, Bentley has the most royal name. He sounds like a king.
And he's relevant this week because the Indianapolis Colts have elevated him from the practice squad to the active roster for their Week 1 clash with the Miami Dolphins.
The Colts might need extra RB depth due to injury, and so Bentley is ready to have his name and number called.

Who is Ulysses Bentley IV?
Ulysses Bentley IV is a 24-year old running back who grew up in Texas.
He played collegiately at SMU and then at Ole Miss.
He broke out immediately in college, earning AAC co-freshman of the year honors as a redshirt freshman for the Mustangs.
After three seasons at SMU, he entered the transfer portal and joined the Rebels.
Bentley got just 16 carries in his first season with Ole Miss, but then ran for 540 yards in 2023 and 419 in 2024.
It was enough to earn him a contract as an undrafted free agent with the Colts this spring.
Ulysses Bentley IV 40 time, height, weight
Bentley is trying to overcome some classic measurements that excite NFL personnel people.
He ran his 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in 4.62 seconds.
He also measured at 5-foot-9 and 201 pounds.
His vertical leap was 32.5 inches.
All that matters now, though, is how he performs on the NFL field.
