The Jacksonville Jaguars will take on the Indianapolis Colts in a crucial Week 14 game in Duval that will determine who sits in first place in the AFC South.
Unfortunately, the weather forecast could have an impact on the game, as rain is expected throughout, which could make things more difficult for both offenses.
Here's an updated look at the forecast for today's game between the Jaguars and Colts and how it could impact fantasy football-relevant players.
Jaguars vs. Colts weather forecast
According to Weather.com, there is a 100% chance of rain for the game, and it is expected to be heavy, with one to two inches likely to fall.
"Looking sloppy today in Jacksonville for the important Colts at Jaguars game. Steady showers along a stalled front persist throughout the afternoon. Hopefully, lightning strikes stay away. Winds will be sustained at 5 to 10 mph," WISH-TV News meteorologist Ryan Morse wrote.
Thankfully, the temperature is expected to be around 61 degrees, and wind isn't going to be much of a factor at 5-10 miles per hour.
Fantasy football impact
This kind of weather is a concern for the passing attacks of both teams, and to a lesser extent the kickers.
A wet ball can be tough to grip and throw for quarterbacks, and difficult to catch for wide receivers, tight ends and running backs. The concern with kickers is bad footing and botched snaps.
On the flip side, the rushing attacks of the Jaguars and Colts might see more work as a result of the less-than ideal conditions for the passing attacks of both teams, although the risk of fumbles no doubt goes up.
Fantasy-relevant players who could be negatively impacted by the weather include QBs Daniel Jones and Trevor Lawrence, WRs Jakobi Meyers, Brian Thomas Jr., Parker Washington, Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs and Alec Pierce, TEs Tyler Warren and Brenton Strange, and kickers Cam Little and Blake Grupe.
Players who stand to benefit from the weather include RBs Jonathan Taylor, Travis Etienne and Bhayshul Tuten.
