The Indianapolis Colts are preparing for their first road test of the season, which is also their first divisional game of the year on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Going into Nissan Stadium as healthy as possible would be a big help.

Indianapolis already got good news on Josh Downs and Tyler Warren, neither of whom practiced on Wednesday, but also had to place starting linebacker Joe Bachie on the practice report with a quadriceps injury.

Bachie practiced yesterday and was not on the report at all, meaning the injury must have occurred in the last 24 hours. While there is no word on the severity, given the timing, it’s safe to assume Bachie’s availability for Sunday is in doubt.

It would be a significant loss for Lou Anarumo’s defense. The defensive coordinator brought Bachie to Indianapolis with him from Cincinnati since his familiarity with the scheme would help the Colts through the coaching transition.

Through two games, Bachie has recorded 13 tackles playing alongside Zaire Franklin.
