With an important divisional matchup on the horizon against the Tennessee Titans, the Indianapolis Colts have begun their preparations for their first road trip of the season.
After yesterday’s practice revealed that both wide receiver Josh Downs (ankle) and rookie tight end Tyler Warren (toe) were unable to participate, both returned to practice on Thursday, according to James Boyd of The Athletic.

Being held out of Wednesday’s session appeared to be a precautionary measure for both Colts pass catchers, and Thursday confirmed that was the case as both were back on the field. Still, it’s a sigh of relief for Indianapolis, who can’t afford to be down too many offense pieces.
Warren, who recorded 11 catches for 155 receiving yards in his first two games, leads the team in both categories. Downs had a slow Week 1 performance (two receptions for 12 yards), but bounced back in Week 2, playing a crucial role in the dramatic 29-28 victory over the Denver Broncos (six receptions, 51 yards).
Having both players back and seemingly healthy for Tennessee (barring any unforeseen setbacks) will be important for Daniel Jones as he looks to continue his hot start to the 2025 campaign.
Jones has targeted Warren a team-leading 16 times and Downs 11, good for third on the roster. Both are clearly favorite targets of his, which will help his confidence as he heads into his first road environment as a Colt.
