Jonathan Taylor can't be stopped.

The Indianapolis Colts' running back continued his torrid start to the season on Sunday as the Colts themselves stayed red hot with a win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Taylor, in the process, matched his own recent bit of NFL history.

The Colts' RB has run for 10 touchdowns in his last five games. The last player to do that? Taylor himself, in 2021, according to NFL.com.

Taylor ran for three touchdowns on Sunday, and in the process, marked his third game this season with three rushing touchdowns (which is insane through just seven weeks).

That's more three-TD rushing games by Taylor than by the entire NFL combined this season. Giants rookie Cam Skattebo had one, and Browns rookie Quinshon Judkins just did it on Sunday himself.

So it's Taylor 3, a couple of rookies combined for 2, and no one else in the NFL with a three touchdown day on the ground this season so far.

Taylor has paired so nicely with Daniel Jones and a strong offensive line to keep the Colts as the AFC's best team so far. Indy scored on six of its first seven offensive possessions against the Chargers.

"We shouldn’t discount an impressive offensive line, which opens big holes on the ground and gives Jones plenty of time to survey," NFL.com's Kevin Patra wrote on Monday. "Enough with questioning Indy. This is a legit AFC contender."

Taylor was the known commodity here. Jones was a lot more uncertain.

But having a weapon like Taylor has only enhanced Jones' ability to succeed. So far, it seems like a perfect match.
