The Indianapolis Colts might not stick with Anthony Richardson for much longer.

At least, that's how The Athletic's Mike Jones sees it.

"Indianapolis could be in for a change after bringing in Daniel Jones to compete with 2023 first-rounder Anthony Richardson," Jones wrote recently.

It's obviously not a controversial take. Plenty have already speculated about it.

It's just one more voice in the know questioning Richardson's future in Indy.

He's been a tantalizing, frustrating QB in his first two NFL seasons.

Richardson throws a brilliant deep ball. He runs with the football like a power running back.

He also completed 47.7 percent of his passes in 2024 and gets hurt frequently.

The former Giants bust Jones isn't a long-term solution, but it's very possible he'd bring consistency to a position that otherwise wouldn't have it this season for the Colts.

Either way, Indianapolis will probably target a QB in the 2026 NFL Draft. It'll be time to move on, unless Richardson shows drastic improvement this season.
