The Houston Texans didn't have the services of running back Woody Marks in the Week 16 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Marks suffered an ankle injury in Week 15 that landed him on the injury report last week. Marks only turned in one limited practice on Friday before drawing a questionable tag and being ruled out on Sunday.

Ahead of the Texans' Week 17 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, here's what we know about Marks' chances of suiting up.

Will Woody Marks return in Week 17?

We don't have a definitive answer on Marks yet, but we would say he has a better chance to play than not.

Marks was able to finish off last week with a limited practice that shows he was making progress and the fact that he was questionable suggests he at least had a chance to play in Week 16.

One thing working against Marks is the Texans have a short week thanks to their game being on Saturday.

We'll get our next update on Marks on Tuesday, when the Texans release their first injury report of the week ahead of the game against the Chargers.

If Marks does play in Week 17, we would expect him to return to his lead-back role, although it's possible Houston will get Jawhar Jordan more involved.

If Marks sits, Jordan will take the reins of the backfield once again.
