Any sad feelings regarding the Houston Texans losing the AFC South title were swept away after they beat the Indianapolis Colts 38-30 to clinch a 12-win season and secure the No. 5 seed in the AFC.

Houston rested many of their offensive and defensive weapons in this game, and Riley Leonard, who made his first NFL start at quarterback for the Colts, impressed against some of the Texans’ defensive backups.

With just five seconds left on the clock, the Texans were holding on to a 32-30 lead. After some laterals and backward passes, Leonard lost control of the football deep in his own territory, and Texan defender Togiai grabbed it and tumbled into the end zone, which garnered an awesome reaction from the Texans’ sideline.

The reasoning behind such an outlandish celebration is simple. Togiai actually lined up at fullback earlier in the game, and on the play that Houston scored their first touchdown, it looked like CJ Stroud accidentally held onto the ball rather than giving it to Togiai.

It’s fitting that such a key yet underrated player for the Texans’ defense got his signature moment with no time left on the clock.
