Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn might have the longest name in NFL history image

Ka'imi Fairbairn has been a reliable kicker for the Houston Texans his entire career.

Having entered the NFL in 2017, he has started for the Texans each season since, making this his ninth campaign kicking in Houston.

Fairbairn is a native of Hawaii who played his high school ball at the Punahou School there before attending college at UCLA.

He went undrafted, but the Texans knew he was there guy pretty much immediately.

The thing that stands out about Fairbairn that also flies under the radar, though, is his name.

Not the Ka'imi part, exactly. It's that that's just a shortened version of his much longer name.

And while this isn't scientific at all, Fairbairn must have one of the longest names in NFL history.

What is Ka'imi Fairbairn's full name?

This is Ka'imi Fairbairn's full name:

John Christian Ka'iminoeauloameka'ikeokekumupa'a Fairbairn

We did check, and it's longer than Tua Tagovailoa's full name (Tuanigamanuolepola Donny Tagovailoa).

As you'll notice, the Ka'imi comes from the front of the much longer portion of his name. Safe to say that's a bit easier for announcers to use.
