Following the Texans' 23-19 win over potential Super Bowl contenders, the Buffalo Bills, on Thursday Night Football, the Pat McAfee Show broke things down. The panel brought up the dominant play by Houston's defense, which racked up eight sacks on the reigning MVP and Buffalo's starting quarterback, Josh Allen.

Then, McAfee seized the moment to have a little bit of fun. He began giving credit to Toro, the Houston Texans' mascot, for helping with the team's performance.

"Another shout-out that needs to be talked about," McAfee stated, before launching into some tongue-in-cheek analysis. "There may be a new horse in the 'best mascot in the NFL' race... Toro, down there in Houston? This guy's good."

"I don't know if you saw this, but this guy came out of the clouds. He came in from the clouds [and] filmed himself confident, casual, coming down from the top of NRG Stadium."

"Toro had a big night last night. Very clever prime time game out of Toro. I would like him to be in the ranks [of best mascots]... I think it needs to be said that Toro might be bringing his fastball better than anyone else."

The true star on Thursday night was Texans' defense

In reality, it was the Texans' top-ranked defense that was the key factor in the team's huge win. They currently give up the fewest yards per game in the NFL, and they made a solid Buffalo offense look silly, at times.

"They were under attack," McAfee stated about the Bills, who dropped to 7-4 on the season. Along with having Allen running for his life, Houston also grabbed two interceptions and stopped Buffalo on fourth down, near the goal line, to end the game.

Looking ahead, the Texans (now 6-5) are expected to have quarterback CJ Stroud back from injury when they face the Indianapolis Colts (currently 8-2) on Nov 30 in NFL Week 13.
