Is Jayden Higgins playing tonight? Why Texans WR is off to slow start in wild-card game image

The Houston Texans saw a solid contribution from rookie wide receiver Jayden Higgins during the regular season.

And Higgins saved his best for last, as the rookie tallied 111 receiving yards and two touchdowns over the final two games, which was his best two-game stretch of the season.

However, Higgins is off to a slow start in the wild-card game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night. Here's what's going on.

Is Jayden Higgins playing tonight?

UPDATE: We're halfway through the second quarter and Higgins has still not been targeted in the passing game.

Yes, Higgins is healthy and active, he just hasn't received a target yet.

Higgins did have an opportunity for a big play in the first quarter, but C.J. Stroud didn't have a chance to get him the ball because of pressure.

Higgins has only been blanked in a game once this season, so he should get on the stat sheet at some point.
