After a slow start to the season, Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz has come on strong since Week 5.
Schultz has tallied 51 or more yards in all but once game since then, including three contests with 60 or more yards. If there's one area he has struggled with in that span, it's been getting into the end zone.
As reliable as Schultz has been this season, he hasn't been a factor early on in the Week 12 game against the Buffalo Bills.
Here's a closer look at what's going on.
Is Dalton Schultz playing tonight?
UPDATE: Schultz is finally on the board after an eight-yard catch.
UPDATE: Schultz saw another target in the end zone on Houston's fourth drive but could not bring it in. If Mills would have put more mustard on it, Schultz likely would've scored.
UPDATE: Schultz is still stuck on one target and no catches through two drives. The Texans have only completed one pass thus far and it went to Jayden Higgins.
Schultz is indeed inactive and on the field on Thursday night, he just hasn't gotten on the stat sheet yet. Quarterback Davis Mills did not target him on the first drive, which only lasted three plays.
If there's one thing we know, it's that Schultz is going to get involved at some point. When that happens remains to be seen, though.
