With Nico Collins sidelined due to injury, the Houston Texans need more out of tight end Dalton Schultz in the Week 8 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Schultz stepped up last week with 10 catches for 98 yards, which was his best game of the season and showed the veteran tight end is still very much a threat in the passing game.
However, Schultz is off to a rough start in Week 8 despite the Texans not having Collins on the field. Here's what's going on.
Is Dalton Schultz playing today?
Yes, Schultz is active and playing for Houston, he just hasn't been targeted yet, which is no doubt a surprise.
It has been a youth movement over Houston's first three drives, as rookies Jaylin Noel and Woody Marks are the top two receivers in yardage and Jayden Higgins has the Texans' lone touchdown.
Hopefully Schultz gets going soon.
