The Green Bay Packers hadn't scored all night.
They were in field goal range. They were only down 3-0 to the Philadelphia Eagles.
And they went for it.
The fourth-down decision didn't work. Jordan Love targeted Bo Melton but threw incomplete.

Packers' 4th down gamble explained
The Packers were showing they didn't believe in kicker Brandon McManus.
It was fourth-and-9 at the 41-yard line.
That would've been a 58-yard field goal on a cold night at Lambeau Field.
It was also a weird spot to punt from, because there wasn't a ton of field position to be gained.
McManus is just 11-for-16 on field goals this season.
The Packers are solid on third-and-long, so they tried fourth-and-long.
In the end, the Eagles took over at the 41.
It was a bit weird, but not as crazy as maybe it seemed.
