Why Packers are facing QB Joe Flacco for 2nd time in 4 weeks image

This is an incredibly unusual situation.

Three weeks ago, the Green Bay Packers faced quarterback Joe Flacco.

On Sunday, they'll face him again, but Flacco is on a different team.

Flacco was playing for the Cleveland Browns this season until the Browns traded him to the Cincinnati Bengals at the start of Week 6 preparations.

The Bengals need an improvement at QB over Jake Browning while Joe Burrow is out following toe surgery.

Flacco, the 40-year old former Super Bowl champion with the Ravens, is the best chance they've got.

The strong-armed Flacco will actually be going for his second win against the Packers in four weeks, too.

Cleveland topped Green Bay, 13-10, in Week 3. The Packers struggled to move the ball against the Browns' defense, and a late turnover helped Flacco get the win.

He threw for 142 yards (21-36) with an interception in that game, so it's not like he lit up the Packers' defense.

On Sunday, though, Flacco will be joined by better WRs in Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

The Packers are coming off a bye week, and they should also move the ball much better against the Cincy defense than against the Cleveland defense.

But if Green Bay loses twice to Flacco in four weeks, that's not a great sign for their season.
