The Green Bay Packers saw running back Josh Jacobs briefly exit the wild-card game against the Chicago Bears due to an injury.

The injury occurred in the second quarter and Jacobs was spotted crouched down on the sideline and apparently in pain.

"Josh Jacobs took some sort of hit because he just crouched over on the sideline. He's back standing now and appears fine," The Athletic's Matt Schneidman wrote.

Jacobs was able to get back into the game, but he did so with blood on his sock.

"Josh Jacobs is back in with what appears to be a bloody sock," ESPN's Rob Demovsky wrote.

Here's what we know about that.

Why does Josh Jacobs have a blood sock?

It appears the blood stems from Jacobs taking that aforementioned hit, but that's just an educated guess and hasn't been confirmed.

We'll see if it impacts him the rest of the way, but Jacobs has looked very good early on in the wild-card contest against Chicago and is clearly about as healthy as he has been all season.
