The Green Bay Packers have officially made a decision on running back Josh Jacobs for Week 12.

Jacobs, who is dealing with a knee injury that had him questionable for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings, has officially been ruled out for Week 12.

Now that Jacobs' Week 12 fate is sealed, we turn our attention to Week 13 to see if the Packers running back will return for the Thanksgiving Day game against the Detroit Lions.

Here's the latest.

When is Josh Jacobs coming back?

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the hope is that Jacobs will return in Week 13.

"Josh Jacobs pushed all week to play despite his bone bruise and thigh contusion. But the Packers decided to play it cautiously with a short week upcoming. There was no pregame workout, just a conversation when Jacobs arrived.

"There is hope he could play Thanksgiving at Detroit," Pelissero wrote.

Adding to that, Jacobs said during the week that if he didn't play in Week 12, he would definitely suit up in Week 13.

"Worst case if I don't play this week, Thursday I'm definitely playing," Jacobs said, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. "It's not like something that'll linger over past that. That's really the worst-case scenario, yeah."

It's not at all surprising that Jacobs' injury will only cost him one game.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Jacobs' knee is "structurally sound" and he is only dealing with a bruise, which is typically not a multi-week issue.

With the Packers playing on Thanksgiving, they'll release their first injury report of Week 13 on Monday, so we'll know more then.
