The Green Bay Packers haven't had the services of wide receiver Jayden Reed for a long time.

Reed suffered a fractured collarbone in the Week 2 win over the Washington Commanders that led to his placement on injured reserve.

The injury required surgery, and Reed also had surgery on a foot issue that had been plaguing him since the offseason, so he knocked out two injuries following his suffering the collarbone issue.

As Reed continues to be on the shelf, when exactly can we expect him back this season? Here's what we know.

When is Jayden Reed coming back?

Head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters that Reed is expected back this season.

"He's going to miss a lot of time," LaFleur said. "We'll see how fast he can recover and heal, and certainly I would expect him back at some point this season, but obviously it's a big blow to us."

Reed was initially given a timeline of six to eight weeks to return, so he could be back any week now.

However, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Reed is targeting Week 13 against the Detroit Lions or Week 14 versus the Chicago Bears.

"The target for Reed’s return is either the Thanksgiving Day game at Detroit or the week after vs. Chicago," Silverstein wrote. "Reed’s foot injury is completely healed and he has been able to take his training to a level where he should be ready to play once his broken collarbone is healed."

Prior to his injury, Reed tallied three catches for 45 yards and a touchdown in Week 1.

In 2024, Reed finished as the team's leading receiver with 857 yards, which was 150 more than the next closest pass-catcher, tight end Tucker Kraft.

As those numbers show, Reed is an important piece to the Packers' offense and his return will be huge for quarterback Jordan Love.
