The Green Bay Packers are reportedly interested in a New York Giants first-round draft bust.
According to Easton Butler of Packer Report, the Packers have called the Giants about offensive lineman Evan Neal.
"The Packers have reached out to the New York Giants about OT Evan Neal, per source," Butler reported.
Neal was drafted with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft but his career has been a total disaster. After striking out at tackle, the Giants tried to convert him to a guard, but clearly that didn't work out, as Neal has only dressed for one game this season.
Every team could always use more offensive line depth and maybe the Packers think they can fix him. It certainly wouldn't hurt to take a flyer for a player who will likely cost a seventh-round pick, at most.
