With the Green Bay Packers sitting at 3-1-1, you wouldn't expect them to sell at the trade deadline, especially after going all in on a Micah Parsons trade.

However, ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler offered an interesting little nugget on Green Bay that no doubt caught our attention.

Fowler starts off with a rumor that the San Francisco 49ers are "scanning the trade market for pass-rush options" in the wake of the season-ending injury to Nick Bosa, which comes as no surprise.

But when listing "potential options" for the 49ers to explore in their quest to try and fill the void, Fowler listed edge rusher Rashan Gary, although he doesn't think Gary will be moved.

Fowler also noted that Kingsley Enagbare, who has seen his playing time diminish this season, is another name to keep an eye on.

Other potential options I suspect the 49ers will check on include edge rushers Rashan Gary (Packers), Jaelan Phillips (Dolphins), Bradley Chubb (Dolphins), Jermaine Johnson (Jets), Will McDonald IV (Jets) and Arden Key (Titans). If the Packers won't part with Gary -- and I don't think they would -- they have pass rusher Kingsley Enagbare, a former starter who's relegated to a reserve role in a contract year. Pass rusher could elicit the most movement on the trade market overall, and I suspect San Francisco will be involved to some extent.

We don't believe the Packers would move Gary, either, as doing so would be a big blow to their pass rush during a season in which the team has Super Bowl hopes.

But the simple fact that Fowler would mention him makes us wonder what's behind that. Unlike the other players Fowler lists, Gary, who has 4.5 sacks, is on a contending team and it would make no sense for Green Bay to trade him.

As far as Enagbare is concerned, he is a realistic trade candidate, but it remains to be seen if the Packers want to deal with a long-time NFC rival they could run into in the playoffs this year.
