The Green Bay Packers have been under a microscope throughout the 2025 season. After trading for Micah Parsons, many pegged this team as one of the easy picks to come out of the NFC and make it to the Super Bowl. However, over the last two games, the Packers have scored just 20 combined points in losses to the Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles, respectively.
This has added fuel to the fire of those who don't have faith in Jordan Love. One of those people is Alex Kay of Bleacher Report, who listed Love as the second-most overrated quarterback in the NFL.
"The Green Bay Packers' offense fell apart against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night, losing a disappointing 10-7 contest," Kay writes. "The result further exposed Jordan Love as one of the NFL's most overrated quarterbacks."
Kay makes note of Love's wild card win over the Cowboys in the 2023 season, but critiques that he played poor against the 49ers and then looked dreadful against the Eagles last season in the wild card round.
"Given a chance to avenge that defeat [to the 49ers], Love was a non-factor," Kay writes. "He completed a meager 20-of-36 passing attempts for 176 yards. While he avoided the backbreaking picks that cost Green Bay a chance to upset Philadelphia in the playoffs, he coughed up two fumbles in the prime-time clash and led just a single touchdown drive."
Love is currently second in the NFL in adjusted EPA per play. The offense is certainly in a funk, but it certainly feels more like a play-calling issue rather than a Jordan Love issue. There are a lot of things that need fixing with the Packers' offense, but the quarterback isn't high on that list.
