The script is fitting, as long as Micah Parsons is healthy.
His first game on the schedule, Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season, Green Bay Packers hosting the Detroit Lions.
The newest Packers star, freshly over from the Dallas Cowboys in a trade and rocking No. 1, can get after QB Jared Goff to try and make an immediate impact on the NFC North race.
That is, if Parsons can get on the field at all.

He was listed as limited again Thursday, the second straight day his practice status was as such.
Parsons continues to deal with a back injury.
On Wednesday, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said the he was hopeful Parsons could play against Detroit. On Thursday, LaFleur repeated that but said there are "no guarantees."
“I think he was able to do what we had planned for him today,” LaFleur told reporters. “He’s doing a good job with that.”

LaFleur suggested that Parsons is taking more reps, which is a good thing.
The head coach rounded out his thoughts by saying more than anything, it'll just matter how Parsons feels after each workout to see what the Packers decide to do with him next.
Parsons has made four Pro Bowls in four NFL seasons, and he's now the highest-paid non-quarterback in league history.
If he has to miss a week, so be it. But it seems like the Packers will get him at least at partial strength for Week 1, and that's exciting for all the Green Bay fans.
